• Wroe Returns

    November 18, 2019

Just 12 months after taking some time away from the game, Corban decided to come back and join the team for the Senators run at a championship in 2020.

In 2019, the Senators made it to the Quarter Finals before being knocked out by the eventual SBL champions, the Geraldton Buccaneers in a tight 3 game series.  Corban has his goal set firmly to help the team get the elusive championship for the Warwick Senators club.

“Having Corban back is a great boost.  He’s a great leader, floor general & someone who can really pressure the ball on the defensive end.” Head Coach, Mike Ellis said about Corban coming back.

When you think about point guard’s in the league, Corban is someone who sits as one on top of that list.  In 2018, Wroe was 3rd in the league in assists per game, with 6.5.  Wroe also averaged 7.5 ppg & 4 rpg.

“Corban is a great culture fit.  He is involved in so many of our development programs & so when we spoke about his desire to suite up, it was a no brainer.”  Josh Nipps, Senators CEO said about Corban’s return.

Make sure you keep a close eye out for more signings - being announced in the coming days and weeks as the rosters continue to flesh out before the coming 2020 season.
