  • Mak Dyer Joins Senators

    November 15, 2019

No stranger to the State Basketball league, Mak has played the previous 2 seasons in the competition.  After finished up at North Dakota University, she played for the Redbacks in 2018 & then last season she was with the Southwest Slammers.  In that season she averaged 20 ppts, 4.5 assists & 5.2 rebounds a game.

Looking to build upon the momentum of last season, Makailah adds another weapon at the guard position to the up tempo style of play that Head Coach Dagostino had the team playing.  “Mak is a great fit for the team.  Her athleticism & style of play will ensure she steps right into how we want to move into the 2020 season.”  Dion said.

The Senators put a high value on the involvement of their players within their junior program.  This involvement is one of the reasons she is such a great fit for the club.  For Mak, she is not only a professional basketball player, but a professional coach, operating HerHoops.  ‘Having Mak involved in the club’s development program is going to be great.’ Senators CEO, Josh Nipps said.  ‘Coupled with Dyer being a person of high character is an exciting addition to the club’

The team is continuing to shape up and the club plans on announcing further signings prior to the new year.  The SBL fixtures have not been released, but keep a close eye out for when you will be able to see Mak in action with her new club in round 1 of the 2020 season!
