• Senators Rebrand 2019

    January 31, 2019

The Senators are bouncing into the 2019 season with a change of name and fresh identity. The new name, Warwick Senators, reflects the Club’s home court and acknowledges its grounding in, and support from, the local community.

Senators CEO, Josh Nipps, said the overhaul speaks to the future of the club and signifies the beginning of an exciting new phase in its development.
“This refresh has given us the opportunity to rethink who we are today and going forward, as both a basketball Club and community,” said Josh. The Club, whose roots are from the 1960s within Truart Hill & the Stirling Senators, has WABL, Domestic and SBL teams.

“I think it’s fantastic, the name is a nod to our main support base” said Warwick Senators Life Member, Mike Ellis. “It’s also high time some of us got around to ordering a new shirt — now there’s no excuse,” he joked.

The new logo continues the existing blue and green colours, and picks up on a gladiator theme. To continue to connect the club to its Stirling roots, you will recognise SSBC (Stirling Senators Basketball Club) located on both of the State Basketball League uniforms.  Supporters will see the new branding rollout gradually throughout the year.
