    Roscoe Returns Home

Samantha Roscoe is returning to the club she grew up in. After 4 years playing college basketball in the USA and a 2 year stint with the Lakeside Lightning WSBL team, Sam Roscoe was a top target for the Senators club.

“We always wanted to have Sammy play where she grew up” said Kristy Pike.  To have Sam come back is something that shows where the program has been, but it also highlights the development pathway we are trying to create for any junior coming through the program.

The Senators pride themselves on having a high focus on development and retaining the opportunities for their juniors to come through and play at the highest level they can.  The signing of Sam Roscoe is a great example of someone who is living out their dream, reaping the benefits of hard work and continuing to develop her career as a professional athlete.

“Adding Sam Roscoe again solidifies the size of our team” Dion says of Roscoe.  “She is a highly talented and mobile post player who can stretch the floor.  Having won an WSBL championship last season, it is great to bring that kind of experience to our team.”

You can catch Sam and the rest of the Senators in action from March 2019.  Be on the lookout for the anticipated 2019 schedule!
